Oversharing Online.

I personally believe that there are a great many benefits and drawbacks to social networking sites. For instance some drawbacks might be people get into a comparative mindset and compare themselves to others instead of focusing on the good going on in their own lives. Also some people may not share what is actually going on in their lives, that it's easier to inflate the good things in your life and skip over the hard stuff basically placing filters on everything making their life's look amazing.
On the other hand some benefits might be that people are able to stay connected to people easier from different locations. being able to have friends across America and being able to stay in contact and updated on each other's life's. another benefit could be that are able to share ideas and advice for instance people can share recipes, cleaning tips, vacation tips. my wife used TikTok a lot for travel tips when we went to Italy last year. I personally use Facebook for recipes all the time.

When it comes to mental health and social networking sites I do not believe that they have a responsibility to promote mental health to their users, but I believe that they would reach a lot of people about the importance of it and be able to help a incredible amount of people. I think
that instead of advertisements for things like energy drinks and other things they could help promote calming apps, relaxing techniques, resources for help, the importance of exercise, Signs and Symptoms for depression/ anxiety/ burnout/ stress to help others better understand what those look like.
